In the year 1995, because of the coronation of Susana Dujin, Venezuelan model, in the Miss World, the Alvarez brothers decided to dress one of their nieces as queen, and make an act of coronation with her.

That day, a man came and asked the reason for the coronation of the girl, to which they answered that they made a new filler in honor to the new Miss World. This man happened to be the father of the model so he didn’t waste time and brought her daughter to the place. Baptizing the new arepa filled with chicken and avocado as “La Reina”. The term “Pepiada” was used to describe a woman with a lot of curves in their silhouette, which is why it was given the name “Reina Pepiada”.
